Johnny Ray has taken his place among the great entertainers of his
profession. Having performed hundreds of shows in Las Vegas, Johnny continues to perform for audiences from coast to coast and has become one of America's leading entertainers for high profile events and intimate venues of all kinds. Mixing humorous stories with great songs, Johnny skillfully uses his experience, charm, and powerful vocals to take command of the evening from the very first note.
Johnny's cast of backing musicians represent years of working with talented people with the purpose of developing the right chemistry within the group. As a result, the musicians in Johnny's band are part of an extended family that Johnny has lived with and worked with on the road for many years. The fun loving nature of the group comes through in every performance and carries over into the audience immediately sparking the beginnings of a very special evening.
In June of 2006 Carley Tanchon joined the band while attending Berklee College of Music in Boston. She immediately added a special component that rounded out an already impressive group of performers. Night after night Carley dazzles the crowd with her amazing talent, singing in perfect harmony, playing guitar, and performing magnificent lead vocals. When the band diversifies into duo and trio modes, Johnny and Carley shift gears from rock singers to performers of hit songs from all genres of music including: classic country and western, jazz standards, famous rock duets and acoustic songs.

When the band starts grooving, percussionist Francis Devito, who has been with Johnny since the beginning, leads the charge with his hypnotic beat, drawing the audience to the dance floor every time and keeping them on their feet all night long.

Andy Sweeney was the first guitar player Johnny ever worked with when they were both in their first band together called Viper. That was at the age of 16 so as life long friends, reuniting in The Johnny Ray Band was like a dream come true. Andy's guitar style is fantastic to watch and his lead guitar work needs to be heard to be believed.

"The Hondah" is a popular American Indian Resort Casino just minutes from the original Fort Apache on the Apache Nations Reservation in the beautiful white mountains of northern Arizona.
Rounding out the cast is Berklee College of Music Professor, Mike Budka on bass guitar who provides the backbone for the band. Other musicians include horn players like Mike Antunes - Star of the hit motion picture - Eddie and The Cruisers. His work on the soundtrack with Johny Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band went triple platinum. Also on horns are Boston Music Award nominee Paul Ahlstrand on Saxophone, and on the west coast long time friend and collaborator - Tony Q. on sax. As well as, L.A. Ray on bass! On keyboards, Johhny continues to work with Paul Badia and Denny Coles on the west coast, and Dino Delurentis and Andrew Braxton on the east coast.
Tony Q. - has been working with Johnny since way before the turn of the 21st century. After several performances with The Johnny Ray Band in Las Vegas Tony moved from the east coast to sin city permanently and conitunes to perform with the band on their west coast engagements.
By the end of the show, Johnny and the band have taken the audience on a swift and meaningful journey through decades of popular music and if the crowd is not too exhausted from dancing and partying, you can be sure that they will use their remaining energy to spread the word about what a great time they had.
"We love The Johnny Ray Band!"
